There are some nice ones out there. I need to start slow and make my way up to the big baller ones like BKK. One step at a time

I think you would have an easier time with sulewesi vs taiwan bees in the outdoor pond.

I have a small pond outside.

My filtration sucked and my pond dried out bc I stop adding water.

Might be best to plant some trees down.

You going to run canisters of do a wet dry?
I ate my fish that died.

Watch out because the rain water is naturally low ph

Definately gonna use Wet dry. I can plumb 3 big tubs into 1 wet dry.I have been doing this for a few years now with no problems with water not being clear. Once the algae starts, I just hook up the UV and after 2 days, water is crystal clear.

OK, So now I am confused here. I have read that CRS like low ph water so why would this be a problem. From a few posts above , Tim and EK is also saying that I should not need to lower the ph.

So what's the deal here. I can just move the small pond back in the garage if there isn't gonna be any pros to leaving it in the sun and growing algae for them.

The small one is for some shrimp breeding... Attempt..

We have ponds like that in Louisiana

I think EK and I were talking about sulawesi shrimps. . . not CRS.

                  CRS like lower pH.

Also began making a undergravel filter for the shrimp pond.

Basically I will use a Emperor 400 to pump water from the pipes . Under the pcv, I cut a whole bunch of slits so that it will pull water from tub and go through the Emperor for filtration.

On the 2 pipes that are coming up(on the top ) , I plan to add some sponges to them so that the shrimp can pick at them and also provide me with some additional filtration.

I plan to line with small lava rock on bottom, then some aqasoil , then akadama on top.
Let it sit for 2-3 weeks then put some test shrimp in , then hopefully they start breeding.

Please let me know if I totally confused you

                              That splitter right there!!!!

Idk how much suction that emperor can do though. U might wanna split the PVC pipes n half and run 2 filters?
