    Hi

There used to be 2 breeders in the Houston area but I'm not sure they are doing any breeding this year. Sam Pierson at Out of the Woods Koi farm in NW area and Brett Rowley out of Danbury.

There are 2 operations within a 4 HR drive of you that are producing high quality koi. Purdin koi farm in Baton Rouge, LA is the premier koi farm in the US. They only breed Kohaku, sanke, Showa, shiro utsuri and goshiki. Worth the drive if you are looking for high quality stuff. It compares to Top Japanese imports, not the best of Japan but the best that gets imported

If you are wanting the best long fin koi in the US, Vance Schultze of Tank Hollows Fisheries in Poteet, TX is the place to go. Very good koi at good prices. But only does long fins

If you want a dealer, you will have to work with one of the bigger importers such as Kodama in Hawaii or Andrews in California

    Good luck

Is there current contact info for Brett Rowley? I found his info on the clubs page but the site is dead and no answer on the number.

      Thanks!

            Hi Phung

            Check them out.

Purdin Koi info, Koi for Sale, articles, events

They have 2 locations, the retail shop at Cline and the farm a few minutes away. The good stuff isn't cheap but it is high quality.

Scott Purdin has invested millions in making the place a showplace and built a solid reputation with some excellent parent koi from top farms in Japan. Bill and Maureen McGurk run the day to day along with 2 other staffers. Really nice people and extremely knowledgeable.

            A fun place to visit.
