How hard is it to find a black betta locally?

    Any type actually. Short fin would be great, solid black. Can i see some picture?

        I've seem them at fish gallery. If u want to breed them get a dark blue female. As mentioned earlier the females are duds.

          I bought some black crowntails several years ago off aqua bid. Very nice but not show quality. The fry weren't very hardy. I did get some black adults, but I lost the group one winter. We forgot to turn the heat on in the house.

              Actually Ally i found one solid dark blue halfmoon at the local petsmart, I'm really busy lately so I cant really go down south to buy your fish, thanks for offering though. I'll go ahead and rescue this betta out of that little box. The rest of their betta dont look like they can last through next week, so sad that they keep them in such a confine place

                my fish house:
                2.5g- ramshorn hatchery
                6g eclipse- yellow shrimp, chili rasboras, yellow apple snails
                29g- geo grow-out, angels, 12"fire eel, dwarf frog, apple snails
                45g- jade sleeper gobies, native killifish, feeder endlers

                75g-
                2 oscars, parrot, silver dollars, albino channel cat, syno euptera, bichir, baby jaguar, convicts, yabby
                125g- fahaka puffer, rainbow shark
                and about a dozen bettas....

                  Thanks Ally, I already found one earlier at the local petsmart. Used my betta choosing trick again and got an incredibly docile Betta the 2nd time. I could have been very lucky. Anyways, he's black and a bit dark violet. After introduced him into the tank the guppies immediately swam around him, in which he was indifferent to them. I'll keep on watching for several days to make sure.
