I have my endlers in a 5.5gal chi. The one female, after popping out about 12 fry is all hunched over and not doing too well. Was it the stress of carrying the young inside? my female poop out 20 fry. and is holding again. she is due with in days now. as for stress i imagine quiet alot of it mainly when giving birth. but other fish on the tank may be attacking her when she was pooping and that may had affected her.75g Tank,

live bearers are like the roach of fishes. profilic breeder with high survival rates. i'm a big fan of the black bar wild type endlers. it used to be endangered. but massive captive breeding program is bringing them back. people have started releasing them back to their native environment too.

Adding a piece of holey rock (limestone) can help buffer the pH, adding minerals...if you need a quick fix, add 1tsp of epsom or aquarium salt (even marine), it will bring up pH and supply whatever nutrients are missing if that's the issue.
Hope she feels better!
