    Re: Black guppies

well you see this is what i was talkintg about, how hard it is  to keep a line working.
you dont know how important those females were to keep your line going.
just think about what will happen if any of those females have an important gene , and the other lacks of it
you must certainly ended up not having a line anymore, and trust me this is just the begining you could find more problems ahead, like lack of fertility, or small size, or etc etc.

Yeah it's probably gonna go downhill......I do know that Charles has a few females from this same gene pool so If worst comes to worst I am going to have to persuade him to sell them to me....

          Re: Black guppies

I still have one female left and did a water change last night.....also upped the lighting on the tank to possibly increase oxygen and deplete the harmful stuff  through plant growth.

Hopefully I can still get this one female to live and keep the line nice and pure......Really sorry Diego, I know if I would have just made the time to get out and meet you I would probably have had an extra female in your possession.... sucks but it happened.

Thanks Fire-Chair.....Maybe I can source out a few more of these black Moscows(what I am calling them) at the next meeting....or find out exactly where they came from.

well do not worry, this things happen so we learn.
i am not sure about this, but i doubt they are black moscows, its been
recently  but a line of black guppies it has bene imported from thailand so it could be possible that those
guppies were from that line, who knows.

Well I named them black moscows cause that was the closest looking thing I could find through endless amounts of google and pictures......but who knows...hopefully I will be able to find out the root of these black guppies soon.

Honestly I would really like to know what they are and possibly what lineage is running through them.

                    Re: Black guppies

I saw some Full Black Moscow's on AquaBid that looked almost exactly like yours. The one in the picture looked like it had a hint of green on it's stomach, but it could have been the angle or something.
