  • Guppies Without Filteration

Something I'm seeing as I surf around the net is peopletaking momma guppies and putting them in a bucket away from every one else in order to have their fry. I'm seeing a lot of guppies of both sexes in outdoor above ground ponds. I thought they had to have filteration and bubbles. Is that wrong?

Very interesting things I'm seeing on youtube and reading.

I didn't know that you could raise guppies like this.

From my tubs to a local pet store's sales tank, this is my 118th sale of guppies. I then restock another Sunset Micariff guppy brood for the next sale.

They can be fine without filtration for a while, but don't keep them without filtration for too long.

You can keep fish with out a filter. The trick is to keep the water clean. Depending on the water volume. Daily water changes or every other day. Plants help too. they pull nitrates out of the water and help keep it safe for the fish.
There is a guy here on the Box that grows out fish in his pond with no filters.
