oh the shad and the bass are in different aquariums. and the smallest shad is much bigger than the bass.

The bass is less than 1.5 inches long and is very shy.

the Shad is about 2.5-5 inches long

I went back to the same mudpuddle (looks like it nevre dries out, it has been there since tropical storm Alex) and found a range of fish in there still.

I found one 21 inche pleco, a bunch of 14 inch grass carp, lots of Gambusia and mollies, a few tiny sheeps head minnows, a few green sunfish and some other fish I could not identify (maybe Bantaem Sunfish and some blue tilapia, not sure), I also found dozens of ghost shrimp.
This puddle is only a couple of inches in post parts and about 20 feet long, but it is filled with fish.

got any pictures of the suspected bantam sunfish? haven't seen them around houston before.
