Tiny Mud turtles, though I have caught Chicken turtles, snappers (both), RES, Texas Map, Razorback Musk, Spiny Softshell, three toed Box, and a few other oddballs I am sure to be forgetting about... I even hooked a nice Loggerhead out here although its a bit large for a SW tank, lol. The Yellow Mud Turtle (Kinosternon flavescens) is what I was referring to though, just let me know. You know I got the skilzzz to get whatever you want when it comes to natives....In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

I won't count on turtles before their caught, but I've caught them every time I hit that spot and they are always teeny tiny. I usually just toss them back after looking at them for awhile. Zen wanted the last one sooo bad, it hurt having to release it.... For some weird reason certain spots yield better results on certain critters and that spots happening for mud turtles...In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Don't sweat it, the beach is fogged in so its a boating I will go. If I hit Cameron before 5pm I'll be way lucky... I'm just hoping to make it in before 5am Friday like last time... I won't be going till tomorrow at the soonest, but its very close to the house and won't be too much trouble. I always like a reason to be ditch fishing... lol. I'll let you know if I get anything else thats out of the norm. Anything I should be watching for? I know your hunting gar, but most of the best spots for them are downtown (at the disc golf course in midtown, by Buffalo Bayou) and they are still sizey (2' are the smallest I've gotten), but that spots great for Mollies, Blue Tilapia, and small Jade Sleeper Gobies... and far closer to your end of town...In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
