This past Tuesday, 06/12/12, 10,000 largemouth bass fingerlings were put into Lake Houston. This is the first time in 14 years that LH has been restocked. 10K fish isn't really a lot, but every bit helps!

Weird, the link works for me. Maybe this will work.
TPWD is hopeful that at least half will survive to spawn in 2 years and since they're Florida strain, they will grow to 8 - 10 lbs in a few years. They're also hopeful they will cross breed with the native LMB and pass along the Florida genes for more rapid growth.<*||||>< <*||||>< <*||||><

I used to fish on Spring Creek a few years back. Would go in through Kenswick through Jesse Jones park. Caught a lot of white bass and crappie from there. Still a cool place to visit, but haven't fished there in a while.<*||||>< <*||||>< <*||||><

Lake Houston is great for fishing!!!! 30 & 40 lb blue cats are caught regularly....along with the occational 60 lb flathead....Launch from Lake Houston Marina. Crappie fishing can be good if you know where to go and what to use....Launch from BJ's Marina. The white are awesome to chase at the right time of the year. For LG mouth bass your best bet is Luces Bayou launching from ponderosa marina.
Been fishing Lake Houston for many years. Here's a little taste of what I've caught out of Lake Houston.
.A mouth will say anything....:ym_chatterbox:....Take a picture!!!!
