Yes, I have been feeding alot. This one was in the tank with 8 other fish and 6 of those eat like a horse. They'll eat till they die. I try to get the other 2 to eat and the others end up eating it all.
I had to move some fish around yesterday and the mystery fish is now in a tank all alone. Its been ripping up some fins on some of the others and I couldnt have that any more.

looks like it might have a bit of Vieja blood in it from the way its body is shaped and the way the finnage lines up. If its a female hit me up im interested in it haha. XD

Not good at sexing. I bought three but this one is about 2 months older. It looks better in person and is still changing colors.

I find that pretty hard to believe. There's red in the fish in the pic. Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought Texas cichlids and JDs were both greenish/blue with the speckles and no red?

Hate to hijack but I got this fish when I bought my 180 gallon tank. Is it a H.Carpinitis ( Escondido )? The guy that owned the tank said it was.

It is indeed H. Carpintis. However, it being the Escondido variant will be hard to know unless you can track which vendor sold this fish to him. It's a nice fish. I would love to have that in my tank lol.
