  • What ??

What are some of the more desirable native fishes for home aquarium keeping in Texas ? My son lives near Ft Hood, and im thinkin of having him capture and send me some nice little ones.

Not a native guy myself, but from what I've seen Shiners and Killifish are pretty popular. Texas Cichlids are probably the most kept natives

Fundulus grandis grows to about four inches, is very colorful (especially the males when in breeding mode), has a lifespan of about four years and you can buy them in practically every bait shop on the coast. They can survive in both brackish and fresh water.
