I had P. denisoni for a year and they never nibble on any plants. Maybe lack of microelements. If you have high wattage light and high level of CO2 you need to add micro- and macroelements otherwise the plants will suffer. Just a suggestion.

Yes, pictures would probably help. Just to see the holes in detail. Sometimes, like Bogdan said, lack of certain nutrients can cause holes in plants and make it appear that something is nibbling them.

Doesn't look like anything is eating it.

Looks like the plants are dying, you need to balance: light, CO2 and fertilizers (at least NPK).

                      Nothing is eating your plants.

Nutrient difficency. Add trace elements ... Nitogen, Phospate, Potassium.

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

NPK is probably the answer especially Po4 try to bring it up a little but balance everything else at the same time.
BTW I have seen this problem in aquariums with soft water specially those tanks that use RO water only; if so it could be Mg or Ca deficiency.
