hey PP, why not steer her onto the forum?

start a thread for her with what she is wanting to get out of the 120g.

gt3guru. the jebo looks like an eheim knockoff let us know how it works and how much it cost. im thinking about getting some dpuffers now too but they will be going in my planted tank so i might look for a phcontroller soon.

        Re: New House, New aquarium

got it for christmas but it wasn't terribly expensive.
Its the 5 basket version, not the 4 that is all over ebay for 40 bucks.
buy it now for this one was 60, there are a few no reserve auctions by the same seller.

I've got 2 dwarf puffers now. they just follow eachother around the tank.. lookin for snails. someone snatched up all our puffers last week. we had almost 20 and now we have only 1

I tested the water today in my tank, very hard, ph 7.2. co2 around 30ppm
I should test the ph in the morning before the co2 and lights come on to see how much it fluctuates..

          From micro to grande..

I was glad to see he has some growing room!

I suspect I can keep him for at least a year in this tank. However I'm going to put the word out to anyone with a HUGE tank who is interested I will be offering him at a reasonable price to the RIGHT person.   anyone with at least a 6 long x 2-3 high x 3 deep  may apply.

someone asked for a pic in the dwarf puffer thread. Didn't want to hijack a thread with my ugly mug so i'll post it here.

Also, i'm the opener at petsmart so i'm only there till 2:30.

                    Re: New House, New aquarium

Moved some plants around. pulled out some poor looking ones. still needs work with the scape and cyno.

The Aponogeton ulvaceous to the right corner. moved the unidentified stem plant to the center. Need a good tall red plant for the left back corner and some good low ones for the front right.  I'd like something interesting on either side of the cave under the ulvaceous. maybe move the cabomba to the left rear...

I may replace the cyno infested penny wort on the left with some HC and move the dwarf sag to the left.

and maybe i'll find a digital timer and do a DIY auto doser with an air pump. Help me keep the Nitrates where they need to be.

                        close but not quite

I picked it up from village tropical, they had it in their big bowfront discus tank at the front door.

                          Re: New House, New aquarium

Well I finally got the cyano cleared up. Just adding the bubble wand to the end helped ALOT. then found some erythromycin on ebay CHEAP and finished it off.

Now to fill in the plants and get some more discus! Hopefully Village will be open soon and my friend will come through with some discus.
The apon in the back right is starting to die off so that will be hibernating soon. the wendtii needs some nutrients, and the vals are spreading across the back.  Any suggestions on scaping are apriciated.

I picked up a back of soilmaster RED from Curtis at Lesco last week ($16 for 50 lbs) for the puffer tank.  Put a few plants in and a pot for decoration. I also have some hornwort right under the light to keep some nitrates out.

I've also made some progress on the rest of the house. Got some paneling up and I'm starting to like the way it looks.

(ugh, need to adjust color balance)
Now I need a couch, a good job,  and some company and I'll be set!

I'm glad that you got it cleared up! Looks great again! Are you planning on adding new types of plants, or sticking with what you have? If you're buying new ones, what kind?
