    sweet. thats the one alright.

    Unfortunetly its covered in algea again. and my old friend black hair algea came with it. Which is a suprise considering the CO2 in the tank.

      Re: New House, New aquarium

      went to fish gallery Sunday and picked up some plants and wood. Finally got the tank clean and plants looking good (mostly)
      Could still use some more hardscaping and some more foreground plants, but its a huge improvement.

      There are a few random plants in the forground that i'm just letting grow out after clipping, don't mind them

                  Re: New House, New aquarium

                  Saw the most incredible fish room build up thread on discususahobby.com

                  100 65 gallon tanks.
                  a few more thousand gallons of filtration and storage.
                  probably 2-3000 discus

                  <hr>
                  I'd given some thought to turning the spare bedroom in my house into a fishroom. Strip the carpet, run some plumbing. There is a wall that is shared with the garage that also has plumbing, making it easy to get water to the room or put filtration outside.

                  But not just any fishroom. A clubhouse fishroom.

                  I see this being a group effort. a professional fishroom for people who have day jobs. 1-2 members per day visit the room to feed, clean and maintain the system. member fees cover electricity, water, livestock, etc. the goal being to breed somewhat profitable fish for LFS and to gain/share some experiences and contribute to the local hobby.

                  maybe even help maintain endangered fish.

                  Please comment on the concept, I'd love to set up something like this.
