want to do a 30 gal planted tank

Algae surely pissed me off on my first planted tank I had algae bloom that I couldnt control for about a month but finally figured out how to stop it and control it and I havent had it in any of my new planted tanks since. But I am stubborn so I wouldnt let it stop me until I figured it out.
