Well, this makes the second time.......
I love tall tanks and so when the opportunity presented itself,
I bought a 105gallon to replace my 55+ tank. Same 4' width, just deeper & taller. Well, I have the 105 in place and full of gravel and water but even standing on tippy toe, I cannot bury the plant root ball in the gravel.
Next time I am going to measure from the tips of my fingers to my arm pit before I buy the tank, so I know if I can reach the bottom or not.
Should I buy some SCUBA gear or is there a way to extend my reach that works better than a stick with a "V" notched in the bottom ?
P.S. I moved a lovely 36" log into the tank yesterday and today I have a 4" tiger pleco inspecting the tank, guess he he hitchhiked inside the log.
P.P.S. Last night SnowMan (My big Cat) jumped onto the 105 like he has done so many times on the 55+.... but I had not yet put the glass top on. He is still mad at me.
