mzungu, i got the vals in the tank pictured above and have had them for a few months now that i can remember. mine are getting shorter and shorter but i think i saw runners though so who know.


trimmed out a major portion of HM in the center of the tank and dug my downoi out of the bird's nest of HM and planted some B. japonica behind the downoi.

oh and mzungu that fern you gave me that was ???? is really starting to grow out nicely!

i havent had any problems with it yet but i have only had it for a week or so.

the leaves arent brittle and seem pretty stout but other than that i have no idea. i do think its time for a bigger tank though cause all the plants i want to have wont be able to fit in the tank and the plants in there now are bunched up against each other.

hey, how is your tank doing now with the extra lighting in there?

i have some extra Blyxa japonica that you see floating if you want some, i plan on tearing everything down shortly and replacing the sand with something else and possibly redoing/removing the piece of driftwood thats on the left side of the tank with the anubias.

Very nice!! So the blyxa's doing well? I've heard mixed reviews about it, some say it's pretty tough to keep happy. Any input?

so far the blyxa is doing as good as when i got them, meaning they dont look any better but dont look any worse.

i dose everyday though along with high light and co2 so im hoping that i can grow it.
