What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

I picked a couple of the swords locally. But most of my plants i got from http://www.aquariumplants.com/

The rare(harder to find) Tonina Fluviatalis i got from a member on one of the forums. Its doing well in my tank I might be able to sell some in the next month or so.

I am also using their fert tabs

I use the total and trace pellets. I use the total pellets every 35days and use trace pellets when i see plants having trouble. The only liquid fert I use is potassium i use about 15ml (3caps) every 3days. I found increasing this helps with green spot algae that i get on my glass.

Tip: Just remember if you do a planted tank, get as many plants as you can to start & get big ones. Makes controlling new tank algae problems easier I think. Dont forget to pump in c02!

Its about time for a picture update, I will snap some tonight

Very nice tank! That is what I aspire to. I have a 55g that I am accumulating supplies for. My dream is a nice planted tank. I'm gonna get more equipment next time I come to Houston. I'm watching this section of the forum with much interest.

Updated: 12-16-09 Pics with Matts Nikon D700 SLR

                    Update:

Things have been pretty good. Only issue is constant battle of GSA on my glass. Minor other types of algae, but all under control. For the most part my plants are winning any previous algae battles I had.

If anyone remembers, those angelfish were some of the fry from my first spawn...

                        My how they've grown...makes a Papa proud. :)

Tank looks even better in person...very active and full of life.
