  • Algae Eating Fish?

Im looking for a fish for my 20 gallon to get help with algae.
I have 3 oto cats and they seem not to last long. All my other fish in there are fine but oto cats just kick it after 2 months. Its like there eating themselves to death....lol Whats another alterantive?
    Thanks in advance

what else is in the tank.. oto are the best fish for algea... if they kick the bucket that means they starve to death... did you feed them any food at all?

For that size tank, I'd put a half dozen or so nerite snails in it. They live up to five years, so I've read and are great at eating algae.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

+1 and they don't get too large like your common plecos

A bristlenosed cat should keep that kind of algae under control.
