Not sure if you're being all sarcastic, but it really did!! I think it would have been easier to cut them down to one node each, but that would have taken too long. :)

I use to be into planted tanks and know how hard it is to scape those plants.

Even with the right tools it's hard and take some getting use to.

But yeah, seems like you did a great job planting them too. All their roots looks cover by the soil.

I use to try to plant them the best I could and cut the roots that show.

Yeah, I think that's the most important part. As long as the majority of the roots get in the soil, it doesn't seem to matter how much of the plant isn't "planted," at least for a good number of plants. They'll take off soon enough.

Didn't cut the exposed roots, though. IME, Hygro-types are pretty fast growers, and those roots should find their way into the soil in no time. I've noticed that even within 24 hours they've started turning towards the lights as well as growing lengthwise. So I think they're good to go.

Just a little update.

Another new leaf on the Madagascar Lace!



Getting some green algae on the driftwood. Happy about that. Also had some fungus start to grow. Hopefully that won't spread. I vacuumed off as much as I could. And also starting to get a film on the top of the water - NOT happy about that. If it gets worse, I might have to invest in a surface skimmer or something.

One more thing, I'm having to adjust my CO2 pretty often. It reduces/stops its flow every day or two. It shouldn't do that, right? Is there something I'm doing wrong, just off the top of anyone's head? The bubble counter liquid evaporated pretty darn quickly. I have a CO2 diffuser inside the tank, which allows me to view how much CO2 is being injected. Should I just remove the bubble counter? I'm thinking that if the liquid in there evaporated that quickly, there might be a tiny opening somewhere in the bubble counter's connection to the regulator that might be causing the CO2 to leak, thereby causing me to have to adjust the flow so often?

Any help/thoughts are appreciated.

Bubble counter fluid should not evaporate in the counter. Only replaced mine once in two years and that was because I had to replace a connection. You should notice the stuff under the counter if it is leaking. Feels slick and greasy. Water changes will help the film.
