Thanks! :) I think it's pretty freaking amazing, too. I love it!
As for the background, I bought a piece of posterboard in a color I liked, but haven't tried it out yet. To my surprise, Michael's doesn't sell fabric... :? So I'm going to have to look elsewhere for a better selection.
Algae's kinda taking off, and I'm planning on throwing in some nerites and maybe a BN or two that Geoff and I got from the HAS auction. I need to test the water first, though. I'm being lazy. )
Here's a picture I took last night. It's not the best, I was tired. But like I said, I've been sure to take pictures every day, so I wanted to get one in for Day 21. You can definitely see the algae. :)
As I feared, the Bolbitis isn't taking off like I'd hoped. It's grown a few new leaves, but nothing like I've seen it do in lower light tanks. I am probably going to have to choose another plant for the driftwood. :( But the Madagascar Lace is doing great! Here's the latest picture I took of the newest leaf:
And I'm confused about what the plants in the back are doing. They seem torn whether to grow or stay where they are. I've noticed lots of new roots growing from the nodes just above the substrate, which is good. And some really compact growth seems to be coming from the tops, but I'm still not sure if it's because I previously had it in a tank with lower lighting, and it's figuring out what to do, or if I'm giving it too much light."Millennium hand and shrimp!"

BTW, on that second pick it kinda looks like cyano growing on the AS. But it's not, it's just algae. Next time Geoff cleans out a filter in one of his "snail tanks," he's promised to donate the MTS to this tank so someone other than I can turn the substrate over."Millennium hand and shrimp!"

Lookin good MB. Can't wait to see the tank in person.
MarkWhat are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? Thanks, Mark!

I circled in orange the weird stage of growth below. Everything below that was grown in a lower light tank. Then, ever since this tank has been set up, the circled region was all I got. Now, within the last couple of days, all the stems of this plant have grown like crazy, and you can see that above the circled area.
Just weird, I thought. Like I said, maybe it was getting used to the new conditions."Millennium hand and shrimp!"

Previous low light growth looks a little pale and the lower leaves self pruned as the stem got longer?
The new groth looks dark and tight, like it's getting plenty of light and food. The bolbitis didn't do well for me in the hi tech tank. I moved it to a low light shrimp tank and it's got all kinds of new growth on it. Still a slow grower, but seems happier.

Not too worried about it any more, as it's shot up in the past day or two. But before that, all I had was that dark green compact growth on every stem. Now they're all shooting up like crazy. Guess they got over whatever it was! :)"Millennium hand and shrimp!"
