So, I was topping off one of my throw-back planted tanks today, and saw something that I thought was pretty awesome and wanted to share.
Long story short, this tank had its original fish population moved to another tank to make room for some new fish I had in QT. Then it had to house a full-grown tropheus for about a week, and, now, the new inhabitants are also cichlids. So, the plants are being uprooted quite often. ) I'm planning on switching it over to a hardscape, but just haven't gotten around to it. So, in the meantime, the plants have got a bit crazy, and so has the hair algae. It just so happens that a mat of hair algae formed on the top of the tank, where some Marsilea took refuge after being uprooted. Here's the result:
So that's why they call it dwarf four-leaf-clover!
