    White stuff that looks a bit like jelly on the wall is a fast-growing algae. I've seen the stuff cover tanks over night. It isn't "hairy" like you say, but I think that's what you have. Either way...
    What kind of food are feeding? Flakes are messy and bits get torn up into the substrate. Small pellets are generally cleaner. Small enough that your fish can easily eat them.
    How long are your lights on? Make sure your photo-period is at or less than 8 hours.

      i was feeding tropical crisps but i have just been dropping in a little bit of brine shrimp and sometimes bloodworms enough for the to feed and lights have been on for 9 hours i will change lighting period to eight and see what happens
