Any suggestions on what kind of plants i should buy and where i can find them in town? This is what i have to work with.....

50 gallon tank
hagen glo t5 HO 2x 39 watt
flora glo 40 watt
co2 kit (will set up friday)
zoo med power sweep 288

2 rosy barbs
2 bleeding hearts
4 tiger barbs
3 guppies
2 mollys
2 pleco
1 blue paradise
1 rainbow
1 black ghost knife
1 Pangasius Catfish

and could anybody tell me what kind of plant this is as well as where i can buy it......

With the CO2, you have many more possibilities. Plants are not my strength, but my two cents is don't overplant. You will stand there squinting trying to see the fish. Also, I would use a few rocks and driftwood for balance. I like the volcano - reminds me of the Nemo movie.

plants are my strength lol and I have everything you need including that plant which looks to be a huge mat of java fern. Its hard to see from my tiny phone screen but Im pretty sure thats it. send me a pm. I am growing about 20 different types of plants including your more popular stem plants. Look through the FTS shots only thread to see some of my planted tanks.

Thats the thing i want to over plant i like the way it looks and finding nemo is the reson i got the volcano. i already have a few driftwood logs in there now that i plan to put java moss on top of
