  • hydra good or bad?

    Im starting to notice a lot of hydra in my 40g i dont really mind them i know they do sting fish but the one thing that makes me want them gone is the aus. rainbows are laying eggs everywhere and i know hydra can kill fry, i heard of mollies eating them and i have a lyre tail and some swordtails but they dont seem to bother the hydra, how would i get rid of these things can anyone help?

    hydroids are bad. They can sting fry. And if left unchecked, they can multiply to epic numbers
    Short of draining out the tank, allowing it to fallow and then re-start it, the only medication that works is fenbendazole (panacur).
    you should be able to get panacur online through people who deal in marine aquarium supplies.
    Actually..... i have to check my office tomorrow, but i might have some left over from my days breeding seahorses.
