  • It's got to stop!

In around a week, the entire top of my 75 will be covered with baby plants resembling duckweed. Whoever is doing it is getting pulled out. I pulled out who I thought was the culprit, but obviously I was very wrong.

My bet is either on the Hygrophila or the Bacopa. Pretty much all I have otherwise is swords, which I know aren't the culprit.

I had this problem with watersprite, but I removed it all when I moved. I hoped I was done with this...

Could it actually be duckweed? That stuff is insane. You can start with 1 piece of it and it will cover the top of the water in no time at all. I hate the stuff!

I know for a fact the old stuff was watersprite. I would watch them grow and bud off the plants. I just hope the babies themselves can't replicate.

Did you recently add plants? Maybe one had some Lemna or Wolffia spp. hitching a ride. Either genus of those can be a pain (unless you have rainbows or mollies...which will eat it up quickly).
