Your pictures get really blurry when magnified so it's hard to tell but to me it looks like some sort of bacopa which has nothing to do with HM I believe. A really nice background plant is Umbrosum.
I got it from one of the guys on APC. The stems are a lot like umbrosum but the leaves stay small and pointed ( oval) instead of the round ones for Umbrosum.

Thanks for the compliment. Give me a few more days to snap some pics, waiting for the background to fillin after a trim. Celestials!!!!!! that's what i tried to find for this tank. But could not find any of them in the town.
I have used Amazonia 2 and Bright Sand. Just used a thick card paper to separate them.

I just used a regular tape to stick it to the tank walls.

ok so there are no dividers there anymore?

you just used it to pour substrate and then removed the card paper?

i am going to redo my old 5.5gal tank this weekend and will use your method, but mine is not a cube, just a regular shape

                Re: 5G "Crypt Cove" Journal

Yup. Remove it after the substrate is poured. Does not matter what shape the tank is .
                1. Stick the 3" high card paper to the sides of the tank.
                2. If you want to curve it or make it wavy use small temporary stones to hold the paper at the planned position.
3 Do not directly pour the substrate near the division as the force would move it . I just pour the substrate at the back glass and the front glass and the spread / slope it as needed with a sand squatter.

the wood you added, was that just bought? or from an old tank?

how did you treat it?  what kind of wood?

The wood is ADA Black wood. You can get it at ADG or City Pets. It does not need any treatment. Sinks easily. You can find it in lot of beautiful shapes.

                      does not leach tannins?

how much are they usually at ADG and City Pets?

Really nice pieces! They are about $20-30 for a medium-small piece.

ok, i am in love with crypt cove

once you are satisfied with where it is, you have to enter it into the AGA contest

the water is sparkling and your scale is very nice, the front left corner looks a little empty, maybe a rock or something at that end might make it "complete"

                              love the shrimp

Thanks  a lot FinFan. The scape is far from complete. As you pointed out the left corner still needs to fill up. Thanks for pointing that out. There are a bunch of crypts there that have to fill in.  AGA you must be joking  8O. I am just a amateur. I am thinking about some red stem plants among the green stems. Probably R.macandra or L,Arcuata ,if i can find some around the town. Anyone has a few stems!!!!!!!!!
