Hey Q i think will have to wait till they get their next shipment. Let my tank cycle till then. Does Fish ranch Get shipment on a monthly basis or some thing does any one know???????

You'd have to ask them.

Why are you cycling? Its a planted tank....just throw some more temp plants in there and you should be good to go.

I have never used Aqua soil before and thought i should wait a couple of weeks before i put anything in there. But actually i can't wait to put some shrimp and fish in there.......... :rockon:

On Thursday I added 10 Jelley Bean Tetras to this tank . I just love to watch them Dazzel-N-Shimmer in a school.I wish if i had a bigger tank i would luv to have a large school of about 30. They look like gems dropped in water. I also added 5 RCS today. Alot of crypts have melted. Hope they bounce back soon so that i can update some pics.

Almost all crypts will do that when they are moved.

I might be able to make it to the meeting on the 11th but I leave the country on the 12th.

I have E.tennellus growing like weeds in my tank......the stuff selling at Fish Gallery is not true E.tennellus per Navarro.

They blast the tanks with light, no co2, super high current, no ferts and to top it off they mixed some not so fertile substrate with inert substrate.


If you can meet me up before the meeting pm/call me before hand or the day before and I'll pull some out for you and bring it along to work with me.

Just a quick update. I have replaced the rotala in the right corner with a plant sold to me as 2-leaf HM. Any one know the scientific name for this?

Who sold it to you?

Your pictures get really blurry when magnified so it's hard to tell but to me it looks like some sort of bacopa which has nothing to do with HM I believe. A really nice background plant is Umbrosum.
