  • Unknown worms showing up in my tank

I have a planted freshwater tank with crystal red shrimps with hornwart and dwarf grass and I just started seeing these worms. The big ones are red and the small ones are white. Could these have came from the plants? Are they harmful to have in my tank? Thanks for any help.

They could have come from anything you put in your tank. Can you get a pic of them?

Neons should eat the white ones. Not sure about the red ones though.

Unfortunately, I can't really see much from those pictures. Can you describe the behaviors of the worms? How many worms are there? Do they move around or do they appear to attach themselves to anything?

The things that come to mind right off are things like tubiflex worms, blood worms, or mosquito larva, but without more information, I really can't offer anything better than a guess.
