  • Help Worms...

I have little white worms all over my tank maybe from over feeding ... how do i kill them with out harming my shrimp.... It looks terrible with theses things crawling all over the ground.

Water changes and cut back on the feedings, if you insist on continuing with overfeeding then what you can do is remove any uneaten food after the day is over.

This is assuming your plague is planaria which is common with overfeeding.

Oh no, I had that once. It's horrible. Cut way way way back on feeding. Only feed tiny amounts about every 2 days and DON'T try cleaning the glass. Each one you cut turns into 2 so if you cut 100 of them then you have 200 which will multiply everyday. You can't use chemicals with shrimp because the only chemicals for them to die have copper, which kills shrimp. Do you have sand or gravel? If you have gravel then remove it and put sand because food gets stuck in gravel and is hard to get out, also if you get sand then get like 4 Malaysian trumpet snails because they will breed and sift through the sand and find uneaten food

With gravel you could vac and an alternative to invassive malaysian trumpet snails you could use a few assassin snails.

True, they work great too. And yes as long as the tank is kept clean (eg. weekly water change/ good vac) then the problem parasites will cease in about a month
