I keep seeing tons of mention and glimpses of planted tanks all over the forum but no pictures........so here's a thread for pictures!

If any of you are up for a little competition there is a contest at the next HLA auction. Pictures won't cut it though. This is the real deal.
   "There will be an aquarium contest at the auction. Aquariums must be ten gallons or less, setup during registration, judged at noon and torn down before checkout. Some livebearers are required. Natural or artificial decorations are allowed. A $10 entry fee will go to the American Livebearers Association 2008 fund. Phish Phreek will provide a trophy for first place and certificates for special mention. The HLA will provide a ten gallon tank for first place. Guppymax will provide an air pump for first place."
   We will try to post a picture of the winner here later. Ek, we need a judge to judge this competition? Do you know of anyone who would be willing to be this judge?

I was reading about that contest and it sounded really fun to try...

As for judges I do not know...you could ask the guys at NASH, I know that Luis Navarro judged for the AGA contest which is a worldwide thing.

EK is that were I know you from is HASH.

Louis is one of the better known keepers of planted tanks.

I do not know of any "Hash".

yeah Luis has some really nice planted tanks or at least use to....really nice fella too, too bad the tropheus bug hit him like a freight train.

Did you ever get to see the ones he had at the office. The one in the front office was like a dream tank to me.

I haven't been to the office though I should since it is around the corner to where I work....just seen pictures and the stuff at his house.
