For you plantnerds out there, I recently finished, what I thought, was an amazing documentary about plants. the doc covers a broad range of topics, but the main emphasis was on the critical adaptation's plants have made through the ages to shape not only our own evolution but the entire animal kingdom. Think about what an amazing process photosynthesis is. Imagine all of the free energy we get (from the sun), that is stored in plants. Think about how important flowers are -- what a ridiculously profound adaptation. How sex drives the diversity we see. The war between trees and grasses! How grasses adapted to burn better to combat trees!
