  • Sub tropical high flow plants

so I am considering a putting some plants not many just a few plants in my river project tank. I've read that java ferns do well in colder high flow tanks. What other plants do well in these conditions?

I find crypts to be temperamental at times to substrate, water params and lighting.

IME bolbitis leaves turn a more beautiful darker green with lower light, and they love current. It'd be perfect! Trident fern might look kinda cool in the background too.

I am going to stick with plants that will attach to rock and drift wood. Thanks for the suggestion though...

If you're looking for something rare and pretty cool, bucephalandra's are native to borneo's fast moving streams, look similar to anibius, they grow on driftwood and rocks, but I think they look cooler. They aren't cheap though

Fissidens also likes cooler temps and heavy flow, and attaches to wood/rock.
