    i been there. i havent set mine back up cuz for a 10g is point less. it was cheaper to doze exel than the light bll for the co2 set up.

        its cheaper to buy expensive excel than the power needed to hold open a solenoid valve for 10 hours a day? hmmm. maybe. the results wont be as good either. that being said, i dose glutaldehyde on the nanos simply because to lower water volume can crash more easily. a pH controller and use of buffers would prevent this but that makes it more difficult to calculate how much co2 is in the water. i use drop checkers for CO2 injection as a guide, but your plants will tell you how much CO2 to add. just start off slow and keep an eye on your pH as suggested. consider seachem alky and acid buffers as protection against crashing.
