  • Identify this plant

    Can anyone identify this plant for me? Also does it grow like hornwort, to where I cut off a piece from the plant will that piece will grow? Thanks

    I wouldn't say that it grows exactly like hornwort, but yes, you can cut/regrow all stem plants.. :)
    Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.

        You're asking the wrong person. There are many on this sight more versed in the taxonomy of underwater flora than I.

        Without looking anything up, I'd say a type of either rotala or ludwigia.

              i would say its rotala indica. you can cut the top of and replant and the tip will grow while the old part will add new shoots. unlike hornwort, it does like to be planted although it will grow as a floater...it just wont look as good and will try dropping long white roots.
