I have not really had much luck with the shrimp in the 6 gallon Fluval. I think I have added about 13 of them and only have 2 or so still in there. I am hoping I have better luck in this setup.

i have the same LED..just got it in the mail. is it a good LED for hemianthus callitrichoides and glosso? what about the atomic v2 ? im thinking of getting an,atomic from GLA..hows overall plant gtowth

I added water to the tank today and the HC is pearling nice under the LEDs.

The plant led from marine land is good for most Highlight plant. Of course if you have a tank at 25'' tall then that might raise some concern but most tanks are under 20''. So it shouldnt be a problem

I made a spray bard with some 1/2 PVC. I cut slits with a dremel and then painted it black with some Krylon Fusion paint. I am happy with how it turned out. Here is a picture of the spray bar and full tank.

The HC is really filling in. Here is a top down picture of it. I also added my first livestock to the tank, a pair of Micro Crabs (Limnopilos naiyanetri)

that looks great! where did you order the HC from? how many hours a day do you leave it on? my next step is to order HC and some plants and then to start cycling. if i stay in thia hobby...im not sure tho :/

I got the HC from AZ gardens.com I think I have the CO2 set to come on at 11AM and go off at 8PM and the lights are on at noon and then off at 9.

Do you think it is possible the 95 gram cartridge is already empty after just a week of use? CO2 is not being dispensed and the regulator is reading zero.

Could be. Those cartridge type systems are iffy. I'm running a fluval 88 system on a nano & have had varying results.

You're running a solenoid & valve setup? Could this be stuck in the closed position?
