I searched for over a year for a good supplier of black pear killies (Cynolebias nigripinnis) and could not find any. I only found european suppliers. Most suppliers are european. They priced on aquabid in Euros for eggs. The adults I hear ship very badly.

microrasbora kubotai- are very delicate- don't like temp flux.
Have your looked at microrasbora erythromicron (emerald rasbora)- they are blue- http://www.danios.info/fish/erythromicron.aspx

I still got plenty of time. I have to find plants and then build up a colony of shrimp and then fish will be added. I'll purchase from over there if I can't find them.

I haven't looked at those. They do look awesome though! I like them, but I'll have to see if she'll like them. I'll have to see how much temp changes in her room. It's usually constant because they have their a/c at like 78?

The tank is clearing up. I'll throw a HOB filter on it later today and toss some random small fish to have something in it.

Hahah it's going to be plain looking. Nothing in it right now except substrate and water. I have one plant sitting on a window sill and a lot of molly fry I could throw in it.

Added filter pads from my other tank so it's ready to have some livestock. It's going to be slow

I kept annual killies for a while back in the 90s. Expense and frustrating unavailability finally was enough for me and my interests for livestock in the small tanks moved elsewhere. There are killie clubs that trade/sell egg mops of different species and availability of some species is much better now.

Slow is good. Slow lets you think about choices and gradually create your vision for the tank. Slow lets you change your mind and redo til you get it just right. Much more satisfying, IMO.

Yup. I have it pretty much planned out except for where I'm going to put the plants. Reason why it's going to be a while is building up the shrimp colony from 6-8 shrimp. I want to make sure they can reproduce fast enough to avoid being completely wiped out from the fish that are going in.
