+1 HAS auction will have the most variety for the best prices. If you can't wait 20 days, there's HAW (Houston Aquarium Warehouse), Fish Gallery, Fish Ranch II, City Pets, and sometimes Xtreme (they have a better selection of fish than plants).

For online, try out The Planted Tank market forum. They usually have reasonable prices and a broad variety. There's also Bob's Tropical Plants and Green Leaf Aquariums. Both are reputable from what I've heard and their prices and shipping is also pretty cheap.

            +1

some really tolerant plant choices are the tried and true swordplants (echinodoris sp), crypts (crytocoryne sp), tapegrass (valisneria sp), java ferns (microsorum sp), aponogeton (apongeton sp), and anubias (anubias sp). they all are forgiving of light and water so you can get away with moderate lighting (2 watts per gallon T5HO or equivalent) and neutral water (pH 7.0 of moderate hardness). dont be afraid of any of the fast growing stem plants either, many our considered difficult to grow optimally if you are looking for a certain intense color but many of these will grow well in moderate lighting and without CO2. concentrate on form over color. some would be hygrophila, many ludwigia, bacopa, and many rotala.
