  • Trimming Plants

In one of my tanks. I have a large Anubias. It was planted on a lava rock. Now it has grown over the drift wood and now has rooted in to it.

My question is. Can I cut the plant between the two? leaving part on the driftwood and part on the lava rock.
Will it shock or kill it? or will both halfs keep growing?

I don't have co2 or big lights and I don't use any Chem..

    Trimming Plants?

You can cut the rhizome to split it you shouldn't have an issue in doing so.

+1 I accidentally broke off the rhizome off my crypt and I left the rhizome floating. Now it's growing new leaves and the part that was left us growing well

Thanks. I'm not a plant guy but learning...
This plant had started pulling the driftwood over. It moved it about a 1/2 inch. So I cut it leaving one part on the driftwood and the other still on its rock.
        Thanks again...
