I did an experiment with two tanks. same plants but one with Co2 and the other without.. Big difference .. it may not seem the plants are starving in a tank without CO2 but same as a person on a diet..hehehe

      New to planted tanks

So today I added 5 bags of Eco complete and mixed it in with my gravel and now I'm in the process of waiting it for it to clear up. I'm going to re do the aqua scape. Still haven't been able to rehome the tinfoil barbs.

Do large waterchange and it should clear up. adjust for temperature with the water going back. just dont touch your filter and make sure to dechlorinate before running your filter.

There are about 20 baby mollies in there and a lot if baby shrimp floating everywhere! I started with 15 mollies 15 neon tetras 2 Siamese algae eaters and about 42 ghost shrimp and now there's babies everywhere I look!

Would the bio load be to much if I add a discus

I don't know that much about Discus, but aren't they a schooling fish? I would think separating one by itself would cause stress. I don't know though.

Introduce a predator? Something smaller that will keep up and slowly reduce the population would be prefered. I know someone who had a similar setup and they utilized a ropefish as they can only eat the smallest of offspring and are far slower eaters. They do best in densely planted tanks and can be a real showcase species.

Or you can scoop them and offer them for free. I'm sure my fish would love em lol
