  • JAYGEE's 12g Loooooong. (update 4/10 w/ pics)

    My Set Up

    Lighting;

    Aquatic Life dual T5, 1 35 Watt 6k and 1 35 Watt Roseate bulb.
    I will replace the 6k and see how the 10k looks.

    Filtration;
    Ehiem 2213

    Substrate;
    12L of Amazonia Aquasoil

    Plants; (as of now, I am a plant noob)
    Eleocharis Parvula
    Hemianthus Callitricoids

    Fauna; (after cycle)
    12+ Corydoras Pygmaeus
    2 Zebra Otos
    Shrimp (unsure, I am a shrimp noob, but I have RCS down lol)

    Stones;
    15 lbs. Seiryu Stones

    CO2
    ISTA 45g CO2 Supply Set
    ISTA 3 in 1 Diffuser
    (Will be buying a better C02 set up as this one isnt up to what I want/need)

    I needed something small that will be able to be hidden behind the tank, due to where the tank will be set up. I will probably regret getting such a small set up in the long run.

    I ordered a piece of branch wood from ADI, hoping it comes in soon. It looks like a tree and looks to be blowing to the side.

    As of right now this is how it looks. I flooded the tank last night and have C02 running until it runs out since the valve is leaking...

    Still need a few rocks but here it is..

    I have had some issues setting up, and got aggravated last night.

    Does the ehiem 2213 have to be set up below the tank?

    I am just going to buy a better C02 set up, the ISTA one I had leaks out C02 from the valve to open and close it. Any recommendations? Is anyone locally selling a complete set up with 5 lb bottle?

    I need to run and buy some more hose to connect the ehiem if I have to set it lower than the tank because I cut the one I had to make it shorter thinking I would be able to set it on the same level as the tank, but it didnt want to prime.

    I have a aquaclear 20 on it right now until I get the ehiem up and running.

    I am sure I left a few things out but I will try to edit as I remember. I didnt remember to get a pic of the tank after I flooded it, I will grab one after I do my 1st water change today.

    My thread on TPT

    Thanks for looking, and all advice is welcome.

    Re: JAYGEE's 12g Loooooong.

    Lol you'll definitely regret getting the ista 45g. It's perfect for my 1.5gal. 3-4bps and I leave it on 24/7. Lasts me about 2 weeks? It's still got more in the can.

    Eheim doesn't have to be lower than the tank, but generally, most people put it lower.

            GLA sells complete setups for about $250 I think. I don't remember what the price was because I looked it up a while back.

              Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
              Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

                              Thanks, it took me a while to find the piece I wanted. Then I just happened to see this one online so I scooped it up! Glad I did too.
