That is some really nice pictures GCD..  I used to have brown discus along time ago and sadly, I understand the hybrid world in Discus has taken over, I still have a love for the original wild colors as I think they simply look better..  I used to have brown discus when I was young (ie 30 yrs ago) and still think they are some of the most beautiful discus out there.

                  Yes..30 ppm injected co2.
The tank has evolved again.  I get tired of it and removed many of the plants.  I have another group of discus to be added.

I agree.  There's beauty in both wild variety and domestics.  I've kept many wilds in the past.  I currently have these and plan to add them to my planted tank.

You're more than welcome to visit.  I been keeping discus since 1994 and wild in those days were a cheaper and better quality than what I see now.  The reason is because the best wilds go to Japan because they are willing to pay for the high prices.  My supplier in Brazil sends the best ones to Japan.
These are some Heckels I've had in the past.  These are called Brilliant Heckels I had in my planted tank.  These have a lot of blues on them.

Wow :)  that is all I can say.. WOW... I have always had a soft spot with Heckels.
Its sucks to know that the Japanese get best fish, but can you argue with him when money talks.
Back 30 yrs ago it was harder to get discus and when they came in they where always fish that where F1 or at worst F2.
