dead bonzai tree

I stumbled upon this photo of a beautiful piece of wood that I really liked, image below. I believe it is a dead bonsai tree, correct me if I'm wrong. Does anyone happen to know where I can get a piece like this or as close to it as possible?

Indeed a dead bonsai tree. You can get nano sized Manzanita driftwood and tie them together to accomplish an underwater bonsai tree look. Then tie mini moss (I like the mini fissidens and mini flame moss) to it and trim to make it look like it.

You can buy a bonzai tree in amazon for like $15 just kill it and tie moss on it. Cheaper than manzanita wood.

It will, but I'd imagine that it'll rot faster than your typical driftwood unless you coat it.

Thanks for the tip, I was thinking the same thing as well. I do prefer manzanita and probably will go this route.

I don't know for sure But Aren't Bonzai Like an evergreen? If so it will kill fish but try it.
I wonder if it would grow under water?

Thye are making bonzai trees aout of anything now days. Beginner level trees are jupiters
