My new 60g not yet planted Amazon tank is needing some substrate. I've always liked Fluorite and when I found out there was a black version I'm ready to jump on that right quick. However I've also found that they make black sand for planted tanks as well. Which have you used or recommend? I'm going for at least 2-3" in depth and it's going to be pretty well heavily planted once I replace the hood lights and add CO2, but for now I'll stick with low light plants. Either way, what are some pros and cons with each? My last planted had the red fluorite and I was very happy with it, but if the sand is better, I might make the switch.
