Very nice, Chester. I love these long tanks! Can't wait to see the update after your new goodies come in, I think some moss on that wood would look sweet.

Yeah I have Singapore moss but am trying to get spiky moss to see if I like that better. There are some of little fissidens fronds in there as well. Honestly it's the light since it's such a shallow tank the LED I have on there acts like a high light source. This weekend I may start dosing it with dry ferts. Oh Sasha could you please bring some MTS and a few assassins if you have any to spare?

Yes, the fissidens is so slow...even in really good light. I think I'm giving up on it for awhile.
Where did you get your lights at? Send me a pm?

And yeah, I'll bring you both snails- we have tons right now.

I have the Current USA Satellite LED +. I got mine from Foster and Smith. They are now sponsors at TPT and posted the par values of the lights. According to their post, PAR value at 6" from the substrate is around 75 micromoles. Mine is roughly around that height from the substrate.

They sit on the frame of the aquarium and have a PAR reading of to the substrate.

            12” 36
            18” 28
            24” 21

So in most tanks they would be more towards medium and low light or good as accent lighting to go with a finnex ray 2.

Oh I have about a half dollar size of fissiden sitting in a clear glass vase if you want it also?

Right on, thanks! I really want to go with something like this in my ebi, depth there would be about 12-14'' off the substrate, would that put me in medium range? I have trouble understanding PAR after using WPG for so long...

Nah, that's okay- I think I'm going to give up on the tree idea for awhile!

well thats a nice surprise. give them a stable environment, leave them alone, they will breed readily. how many fry did you find?
