  • No lie i use "the net them as soon as i get home and dump them in to the tank method"... msjinkzd from TPT who sells fish and buys em internationally did a write up on it at this link. The only things I do the drip acclimatize for like 3 to 4 hours now are shrimp... unless I get them from Tim.

    • Yes, I did replace the water during acclamation. I use too even check ph making sure it got to my exact ph before moving them, but that got old fast. I guess next time I'll be sure to check ph when I add real sensitive fish in.

I got them at fish gallery. If these don't make it, I'll be sure to check out C&R tropical. Thanks.

      • FG rummies and cardinals for some reason are the most sensitive I've ever seen. Sorry they're not doing so great... Definitely send a PM to Charles or Robert and see if they've got some rummies in stock.

Aww no! That sucks to hear. Thank you again.

Update: Just checked on them, and looks like so far they all are okay. All 13 are schooling together and all 13 red face is coming back!

          • Rummy nose tetra are doing great. They already develop more color then when I had picked them up!

            • because your tank has better lighting and set up than their holding tank at FG =d

              • Well, considering that they were close to dying yesterday, I didn't expect them to adapt that quickly.

                • my dwarf gourami looked red at petsmart, after 2 days in the tank he turns red with dash of turquoise like the one you normally see on google. It's just like that =d... though some other fish turns into really random color because of your lights.

                    • Thanks for the reminder. I might or might not go. I just got sick, and I don't really want to get others sick too.

                      • Also, I went to sell my fixture, and picked up a temporary one. There was no lights for about 1hr. I left with all the fish okay and then came back to all the rummy nose losing all there color and just sitting at the bottom like if they were in shock again. Can't say that there just sleeping eh? Also during this time period one of the smaller rummy got its tail torn up. Not sure if there connected or not. What do ya think? Water parameters are good.

                        • tail torn off can come from scratching to hard surface like driftwood or nipping problem. You don't seem to have any aggressive fish in your tank though.

                          • Threadfins might have done it.

                            • I have threadfin and they are extremely timid. Their mouth is so small that they can barely open it. I doubt it was threadfin

                              • I don't think it is the threadfin either. They can barely fit 0.5mm pellets in there mouth. Unless they attacked in a group. I was thinking it was my filter intake but I have a net covering one and a sponge on the other.
