Pogostemon Helferi! Oh Yeah!

So the plant everyone want to get is pogostemon helferi. I was one of the many that went on a manhunt to find it, and it just so happens I found a place, but not locally. I made a move down here about 2 years ago, and since I am not rooted in Houston, I travel up north to Missouri a couple times a year. Well it just so happens when I went up there fro a wedding two weeks ago, i had time to stop in a very good planted tank store in the STL area. To my disbelief, they had a whole tank of pogostemon helferi, also know as Downoi. So I did what any other plant maniac would do... bought them all, packed them in my suitcase to check, and brought them home with me! Hopefully over the next few months these things will really start to take off, and I can spread this awesome, and I mean awesome, plant with the rest of the planted community here in Houston!

Sorry for the thread, I am just excited to finally have a plant of my dreams, and for the chance to share within this hobby!

The one at Sawyer Heights is currently out of downoi. They have a lot of nice Staurogyne repens tho :)

I know that fish gallery recently got some in from one of the guys that works there but they are selling at $12 for a plant...

Petsmart in Galveston had them, I think for ~$9 for several small plants.

hmm if you could somehow verify that to be fact... i may have to make a trip to galveston this weekend to hang out at the beach AND get some plants!
