          don't worry about purigen absorbing ammonia.. it doesn't really absorb it, go for the white magic beans

              put more plants in that tank and you'll be looking at longer break between water change and even over stock your tank without much problem.
              I have the patience of a goldfish....

                Plants are usually covered in beneficial bacteria, as well as seasoned driftwood from previous tanks. Local fish stores will usually give you a bag of squeezed filter mulm from their systems if you ask nicely or a nearby boxer.

                    True. The only reason why they wouldnt is if they want you to spend money on the bottled stuff. Ill help you out if you come by one of my stores while I'm there.
