  • Truaqua Euro Style Bow Front ~3 g.

After debating on removing this tank from my son's room yesterday since it was so hard to service it due to its location on a shelf next to the bottom bunk on my kids bunk beds. There just wasn't enough room to comfortably service it. I decided to move it last night and put it in my room since I would be able to take care of it easier.

    From This

    To This.

I removed the Betta and put him in our 20 Long, he seems to be doing fine in their at the moment. He will come back in needed. If he was to remain a nice Betta he could stay in the other tank; if he was to stay what do yall think would look good in this tank? Remember it is only about 2 1/2 - 3 gallons.

    Thanks for looking.

Shrimp, possible some Bororas or with soft enough water the ruby tetras and embers can POP. If you are really crazy and have super soft water try out some butterfly barbs. Lampeyes or dwarf livebearers could work as well.

The Butterfly Barbs are neat little fish!! I don't think I am ready for those just yet lol.

Ill definitely look into some dwarf live bearers though.

      Thanks for your input!

Dwarf Livebearers are actually native to East Texas and I know a few spots out on I-10 to collect them if your interested in collecting them yourself. Otherwise, they are cheap on Aquabid.

I wouldn't mind giving collecting a try, would give me some thing to do with my kids. Where about would be a good spot to collect?

Another member here found some at Turtle Bayou on I-10, which I have never visited personally. I have found them at the rest are as you enter Texas from Louisiana. Most likely they are fairly common in that general are, so any densely planted shallow ditches in that vicinity should yield good results. They hide in very dense submersed foliage along the bank.
