Doe anyone have a picture of a tank with UG in it?

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Not my tank, but here you go. Singapore Moss on the driftwood and the carpet is UG (utricularia graminifolia)

Some more. IMO a plant that is truly a biotch at planting. It's almost tied with HC! Very fast growing plant and truly shines with CO2 and ferts.

Wow, talk about lush carpet. I haven't had a chance to grow UG yet. Been meaning to try DSM w/ it in a nano.

From what I remember its a carnivorous plant as well, I seem to recall some concerns over shrimplets over on TPT awhile back.

It's carnivorous, but I thought the traps were in the roots and not on the "leaves" where most shrimp would hang out if it were a dense carpet. But I've never kept it so I dunno.

I always thought it'd be cool to do a carnivorous plant tank w/ a UG carpet and waterwheel floating at the top. Probably fish only tho lol

The traps are on the roots correct. You can see them in the close up picture. Carnivorous, but generally shrimp hang out on the grass.

I wanted to try ug, so when I set up my tanks I used it in my nano. Bought some emersed growth off a member on aquabid. Took about a month to acclimate. Now it seems like its taking for ever to spread, if any at all, just more full growth. My suggestion for growth would be to mix some sand on the top layer to help it carpet. I have it planted in straight aquasoil.
